Greg Lever

Mr. Greg Lever
Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand

Greg has been with the company for over 20 years, serving in various Australian management positions before taking his current national role. Greg has a high focus on customer service and is responsible for significant operational change whilst creatively pursuing new growth opportunities across all product lines. He has extensive experience in designing and implementing tailored records management solutions for finance, government and health sectors. He has a long-standing interest in best practice operations, practical logistics and individual performance management; whether in the client business or within Iron Mountain processes. Greg continues to actively shape and position Iron Mountain Australia as it grows through partnership and innovation with existing and new clients, strategic acquisitions and via organic growth. Greg is an ISO 9002 Quality Auditor, professional member of the RMAA, and a qualified accountant.


Marie Yip

Ms. Marie Yip
Finance Director, Asia Pacific

Marie joined Iron Mountain in 2006 to head up the Asia Pacific Finance function, based in Melbourne, Australia. She is responsible for providing financial support including financial planning and analysis, strategic planning and USGAAP compliance for the expanding region. The experienced team recruited has been instrumental in setting up the Asia Pacific Finance function as well as integrating several acquisitions made since Iron Mountain ventured into this region. Marie is a seasoned CFO with over 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, company secretarial and corporate treasury in a diverse range of industries including fast moving consumer goods, manufacturing, publishing and automotive.


Phil Turton

Mr. Phil Turton
Regional Human Resources Manager, Asia Pacific

Phil Turton came to Iron Mountain in January 2009 with more than 20 years of strategic and operational human resources experience gained across several diverse industry sectors and organisational cultures including Unilever, National Foods, Uncle Toby’s, Insurance Australia, and Visy. Well credentialed in both senior level generalist and specialist HR roles, Phil has extensive experience across key areas such as talent management, workforce capability and leadership development, change management, and participative employee relations and safety. Career highlights include involvement within organisations achieving international and national awards in areas of safety, customer service, training, quality, and employee relations. As Iron Mountain expands further, he is also responsible for the implementation of key global HR practices across Asia Pacific. Phil holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Law from UNSW.


John Staines

Mr. John Staines
IT Director, Asia Pacific

John joined Iron Mountain in 2009, bringing with him extensive experience in best practice IT service management, strategy and implementation, process engineering, services architecture, quality assurance, and contemporary product development. He worked as a mainframe analyst / programmer, then transitioned to IT service management consulting where he developed his passion for operation and development excellence in information technology. During his career he has delivered the rationalisation and restructure to best practice of significant IT organisations covering investment, insurance, mortgage, banking and foreign exchange IT services, and infrastructure. John holds a Bachelor of Physics in Applied Science from RMIT, a Post Graduate Diploma in Computing from Monash University, and ITIL Manager Certificate (ISEB).


Macgregor Thompson

Mr. Macgregor Thompson
National Strategic Development Manager

Mac has been involved in information management for over 15 years. Prior to this, he graduated from Duntroon and the Australian Defence Force Academy and spent ten years as an Australian Army Officer. On leaving the Army, he ran the risk management and security for a PNG gold mine and later an armoured car company. In 1997 he founded DigiGuard to provide IT risk management consulting and data storage. The business grew from green fields to employing 11 staff in Sydney and Melbourne and providing services to around 100 top Australian private and public companies. As a result of the trade sale to Iron Mountain in 2006, Mac became the General Manager of Data Protection and Digital Services for Australia and New Zealand. The business today spans both physical and digital data storage and recovery.


Phil Barnes

Mr. Phil Barnes
Sales Manager, Australia and New Zealand

As the head of new business sales, Phil is charged with developing sales strategies for the Australian and New Zealand sales teams and growing revenue for the company. Originally from the U.K., Phil is a seasoned sales professional with more than 25 years of experience. Phil joined Iron Mountain in April 2008 having held senior leadership roles in the freight and logistics industry working for global organisations such as Bax Global and Fed Ex. Phil graduated from the University of Nottingham with a bachelor degree in Business and Management and a National Institute of Sales and Marketing Diploma.


Vanessa Fenemor

Ms. Vanessa Fenemor
National Operations Manager, New Zealand

As the National Operations Manager for New Zealand, Vanessa brings a strong focus on achieving the strategic intent of the organisation with proven success at delivering front-line employee and service excellence. Her previous experience includes running her own business and eight years with DHL, where she won numerous awards and ultimately held the role of National Customer Services and Quality Manager. She is a skilled coach with effective and respected staff management skills and an innovative thinker with many operational initiatives to her credit. Vanessa has an EMA Certificate in Management and has begun a Bachelor of Commerce and MBA. Outside of work she is an accomplished horsewoman with numerous successes including two title classes at the 2011 Horse of the Year.
